New York, Dog Run Halloween Parade!

It's a bird…It's a plane….it's a golden retriever dressed up as Superman. Where else could you find Bull Dog's impersonating Elvis, or Chihuahua mermaids?
The 14th annual Tompkins Square Dog Run Halloween Parade, that's where! The event was held on Sunday, October 31st. The weather was absolutely gorgeous for the dogs and their walkers as they paraded around New York City's largest off-leash dog park competing for prizes and a really cool raffle. “Friends of First Run” together with “Scout Dog Boutique and Pawtisserie” joined forces to present the fun-tabulous event!

People came from as far away as South Jersey to see the creative costumes and themes. “It was well worth the drive,” said Jack Borchardt, owner of a tiny Chihuahua, dressed up as Tinkerbell, “she actually enjoys dressing up!”
Apparently everyone participating felt the same way! Owners joined in on the fun by dressing up in themes with their four legged trick or treaters!
