Barkitecture III is a gala event and competition where local contractors, architects, developers, designers & creative supporters compete to create unique, custom-designed doghouses, Cat Furniture, and Bird Roosts. Team Registration Forms due Friday 2.10.2006

Barkitecture III teams are now forming and the competition will be high, for Dog, Cat, & Bird teams are building to delight the sophisticated canine, feline & feathered friends. Entry Packets for Barkitecture III are available from Peter Lepley at 707.645.7905 ext 113, or tickets by phone 645-7905 ext 102 with Liz McGrath at the Benicia Vallejo Humane Society.

“Last year's houses were amazing. I can't wait to see what masterpieces people build this year!” said Volunteer Thea Grigsby, and proud mom of rescued dogs.

The “People's Choice” Voting and Preview Event will offer the first view of the designer domiciles juried, and auctioned off on Friday March31, 2006 the festivities begin at 6:00 pm at the Barkitecture III Gala, (business casual attire). The event will feature music, catered cuisine, silent & live auctions, a premium raffle and a live-auction. Awards will be given this year a little differently. All entries will be featured in local media and the Benicia Vallejo Humane Society website at www.bvhumane.org. Premium Raffle Prize TBA. It will be one that the winner will completely enjoy, says event organizer Peter Lepley.

This is the third event of its kind in the Benicia Vallejo community. Barkitecture III's goal is to raise much needed operational funds to care for the animals and for outreach to build awareness of the plight of the many homeless animals available for adoption at the Benicia Vallejo Humane Society.
