Online Pet Store Celebrates Its First Anniversary and a Successful Year
GREENSBORO, NC, October 2, 2000—In an up-and-down year for dot-com companies, Greensboro Internet business, Pettails.com, has notched a “tail-wagging” year.

In just a year, Pettails.com (www.pettails.com) has grown from 50 pet products to more than 150 unique and distinctive products for pampered pets and the people who love them.

Owners Jack and Kerry Foster maintain that the ingredients for their successful Internet business is “Pettails.com's unique product offering and exceptional customer service.”

Pettails.com began with gourmet treats, dog and cat toys and specialized pet gift baskets. “We expected the gift baskets to be a popular gift during the holidays, but the customer response far exceeded our expectations,” Kerry Foster said. “We worked until the early morning hours during the holidays to create the gift baskets and meet our customers' requests.”

Pettails.com takes pride in its superior customer service and has received the “Top Service” award from “Yahoo! Shopping.”

Since this home-based business doesn't carry a large inventory, the Fosters are careful to work with excellent suppliers that ship directly to their customers. They are excited to announce their relationship with Sherpa Pet Trading Company. Pettails now offers Sherpa's line of quality pet travel luggage and travel tips from Gayle Martz, the "Pet Travel Authority".

They also are always searching for new quality products to expand their store. For example, Pettails.com now offers a complete line of pet furniture that can be upholstered to match the customer's home furnishings. Pet owners can select a sofa, chaise lounge, day bed, French wire basket or other customized furniture for Fido the dog or Whiskers the cat.

Products that have been favorites among Pettails.com customers are gift baskets, Samsonite's line of pet travel carriers, personalized pet collars and pottery bowls, orthopedic dog beds, luxurious donut pet beds and pet seat belts.

Of course, nothing gets into the store until it is tested and given a “Tail Waggin Terrific” rating by the Fosters' three dogs: Hershey, Nestle and Bonnie, and by their friends' cats, Gracie and Flora.
