Martingale collars are worn by slipping them over the dog's head. They function as a regular collar as well as a choke collar. They can be worn normally around the home or even when being walked if you use the side ring to attach the leash. Or, they can be used when walking as a choke collar for more security or control by attaching the leash to the front ring. They are ideal for dogs such as Pugs and Greyhounds who have necks that regular collars slip off of easily. They are also good for training your dog to walk better on a leash. These collars should only be used when the dog is supervised as the collar could get caught on something and tighten down on the neck causing injury. Please use your best judgement when using a Martingale collar.

All collars get dirty, but our collars are completely washable and they come out as good as new when thrown in the washing machine. All fabrics are prewashed before construction to minimize shrinkage and maximize comfiness. It is recommended to air or line dry as the dryer may fade and/or shrink the fabric.
