Conclusion:

Our west coast tester, Rocket, recently got the assignment to test out Spiffy Dog's DRP. We thought we would take a walk after dark to the local park and see just how well the DRP would reflect light.

While the photos didn't pick up the reflective ability of passing cars, the light was picked up well and reflected by the flash of the camera. From a distance the DRP's did reflect the headlights of passing cars and drew your attention to them.

Rocket wasn't too happy at first to have the DRP wrapped on his legs. He walked around for a minute like he was walking on ice, but after a minute he was asked if he wanted to go for a walk and forgot all about them.

Once outside the streetlights reflected off of the DRP's and it was apparent to us that they work as described by the manufacturer.

While the DRP's were the perfect size for Rocket, they are designed to be sized for smaller dogs by simply cutting them down to the desired size. They measure 1 1/2 inches wide, which is considerably wider than others that we've come across. This means that there is more reflectability for your money.
