Cool Vest

The Cool Vest is truly beneficial for dogs as heat is one of the worst health hazards for dogs. As it is very thin and light in weight even when it's soaked, it is suitable and convenient for many occasions from routine walks around the corner to long-hour outings in the mountainside.

The vest requires no refrigeration. It utilizes a simple scientific principle, cooling through evaporation. As water, soaked in the vest's special fabric, gradually transforms from a liquid state into vapor, it takes the heat away. It's just like wearing a wet T-shirt.

The Cool Vest shell is made from durable polyester and the inner layer is made from rayon, water-absorbing acrylic and polyester. The liner, which separates the vest from your pooch, is made with 100% polyethylene resin.

There are two colors and 5 sizes to choose from.

Conclusion:

Keep in mind that we're not equipped with heat sensing camera equipment so we had to rely on our senses for this review.

After taking The Cool Vest out of the package and reading the instructions I submerged it in a bucket of water from the kitchen sink and let it sit for about 5 minutes. I let it drip dry then put it on Lulu as she looked at me with a puzzled look.

I'll admit that my first thought was that she looked like a cute lifeguard, but there was no way that it would work. After a couple of minutes I stuck my arm in between the The Cool Vest and Lulu hair and much to my surprise, I did notice a considerable difference in the temperature.

If it worked on Lulu then it would have to work on my arm, right? It sure did! Not only was my arm cooler, it was actually cold to the touch. I guess the age-old scientific principle that things cool through evaporation works with their design.

The inside of the The Cool Vest is lined with 100% polyethylene resin which makes a waterproof barrier thus keeping your pooch dry, yet cool at the same time.

Trendy? Perhaps. Useful? Absolutely!
